The local woods are small but very beautiful, and Spring is magnificent as it takes over the forest floor.
I was amazed and excited whilst taking three of the shots here that have ‘orbs’ on them, balls of light that could be flare, as I saw with disbelief that the first image was covered with orbs before I shot the following two in succession.
The particular effect appeared only on the three pics included here (last three in gallery). Even though I took over 120 pictures, many including flare and bright sun, the effect wouldn’t repeat itself there or elsewhere in the wood.
It was a completely still afternoon, and there was no dust or pollen around, and it would have been backlit by the sun if there was, so would not likely be glowing on the camera’s side. If there’s dust on the lens or elsewhere, then there always is, so why would this happen only this time? Most mysterious and intriguing.
